About Your Surveyor
Cooper Davies Surveying is led by Benjamin Davies, a RICS-registered building surveyor with a background spanning both residential and commercial property. Ben began his property career in Kensington & Chelsea, gaining first-hand insight into high-value residential homes and how buyers assess risk and condition, before moving into building surveying driven by a strong interest in how buildings are constructed, maintained and repaired.
Post qualification, Ben worked in commercial surveying roles across the South West, carrying out technical due diligence surveys on commercial assets valued up to £50 million. This experience provided a strong technical foundation and a detailed understanding of how buildings perform and deteriorate over time, before a deliberate move into residential surveying — applying the same level of scrutiny and professional rigour to homes, where clear advice and attention to detail matter most.
Ben also is a hands-on residential property investor and developer bringing real-world insight into defects, repairs and costs, not just theory. Alongside this he has conducted several residential refurbishments on a range of Buy-To-Let property across the South West over the last 20 years.

Unrushed Surveys
We only carry out one survey per day (vs the industry standard of two), allowing time for a detailed inspection without cutting corners. Roof-level inspections using camera poles are included wherever possible, reducing assumptions and providing clearer, more reliable advice.
