Drone Roof Surveys for Home Buyers
A drone roof survey gives you a clearer view of high level areas before you commit to purchase.
Now, you can get an even clearer picture with a Drone Survey inspection.
At Cooper Davies Surveying, we offer drone roof inspections as standard with an RICS Level 3 survey, and as an optional add-on to Level 2 Home Surveys across North Somerset and the surrounding areas.
Drone inspection helps us view roof coverings, chimney stacks, valley gutters, flashings and other areas that are often difficult to see from ground level. This gives you better evidence, clearer photographs and a fuller understanding of potential repair costs before exchange of contracts.

Cooper Davies is a RICS regulated firm (Registered Number 898153). This enables us to provide our clients with a certified level of expertise and confidence that our professional advice will guide you through the complexities property sector.

How our Drone Surveys work
We use drone inspection to supplement our visual survey where it is safe, legal and practical to do so.

The drone allows us to obtain high level photographs of roof slopes, chimney stacks, ridge tiles, valleys, flat roofs and other areas that may otherwise be difficult to inspect. These photographs are reviewed as part of your survey and included within your report where relevant.

A drone survey does not replace a full roof inspection from safe access, but it can provide a much clearer picture than a ground level inspection alone. This can help identify defects, support contractor quotations and reduce uncertainty before you commit to purchase.
We provide drone roof surveys for home buyers across Weston-super-Mare, Clevedon, Portishead, Yatton, Cheddar, Winscombe, Axbridge, Bristol, and the wider BS and BA postcode areas. Drone inspection is particularly useful for older properties, converted flats, period homes, tall buildings and properties with complex roof structures.

Drone Survey Benefits

Uncovers hidden defects
Your roof is your home’s first line of defence against the weather. A drone survey can identify high level defects such as slipped tiles, damaged coverings or defective chimney stacks.
Clarity on your Purchase
A drone survey helps clarify the likely scope of roof repairs and gives contractors better information when preparing quotations before exchange.
Ideal for unusual roofs
Drone inspections are particularly useful for tall buildings, valley roofs, flat roofs, chimneys and areas that cannot be safely viewed from ground level.

Ben was brilliant from start to finish, very friendly chap and informative with the survey on the house we were buying. He even went above and beyond with finding out about other information in regards to communal parking that I didn't expect from the survey which was great.
